Are You Ready for the New 2025 Ford Explorer?

Owning a full-size SUV like the new Ford Explorer ensures that you have enough space and will never run out. We recommend the 2025 Explorer because it's one of the best from Ford. From the Active and the ST to the ST-Line and Platinum, Ford gives shoppers the chance to pick the best one based on their unique needs. We love the sleek design of the body as much as we like the powerful engine tucked under the hood. Use our research to get ready for the new 2025 Ford Explorer.

Performance

The engine you get depends on which of the new trims you pick. A 2.3L EcoBoost engine with 310 pounds of torque and 300 horsepower comes standard on the ST-Line, Platinum, and Active models. If you pick the ST, Ford replaces it with a 3.0L V6 with 415 pounds of torque and 400 horsepower. Though RWD is standard, every 2025 Explorer is available with AWD. Ford recommends adding its tow package to get more than just a 5,000-pound capacity. This package includes trailer sway control and a tow hitch. The basic Explorer also averages 21 to 28 mpg on trips around Lake Wales and other places.

Interior/Exterior

Though the new Explorer might not look too different at first glance, it boasts a fun design with tinted windows that work nicely with any of Ford's latest paint colors. The design replaces the old grille with a new and larger run that takes center stage. Other highlights include vertical fog lamps that match the vertical lines on the body and 18-inch wheels that sparkle in the sun. Some trims feature larger wheels, too. Inside are plenty of nice touches that make drives comfy. Ford changed the dash to give those in the front more room and added a button to move the back row out of the way. We even found loads of cargo room when compared to past models.

Tech

With the new 13.2-inch touchscreen, the 2025 Explorer improves on the tech from last year. This LCD screen works with the Ford Digital Experience to help you find a new place or check out the latest apps. You can use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as apps from Amazon and Google. Also inside are multiple USB ports and power outlets.

Safety

Anywhere you go, the new Explorer protects you and your passengers. Ford added a forward collision warning that notes collisions before they happen and causes the SUV to apply the brakes to prevent them. Also standard is a blind spot monitor with alerts that tell you about traffic crossing behind you. Lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning work together to help you keep the Explorer inside the lane markings on highways and other roads.

Trims

The 2025 Explorer lineup starts with the Active trim. Powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost engine, the Active is a highly affordable option. Its top features include 18-inch wheels and a power driver's seat. Move up to the Explorer ST-Line to get more sporty features, such as bigger wheels and an ebony interior with contrast stitching in red. The ST adds more horsepower via a 3.0L engine and offers 21-inch wheels and chrome exhaust tips. Ford offers the Platinum as the new ultimate Explorer. It has an upgraded and premium sound system from B&O, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and other premium features.

Our dealership has a large selection of Ford Explorers ready for our buyers. Come in today to take a look at the latest version and learn more about the trims above. Call to schedule a 2025 Ford Explorer and get ready for this new SUV.
